Where should i start from stock ? help!

If i were to do the turbo it wouldent be anything crazy. The car is my daily driver so im only trying to get it in the low 200's as far as hp

The 96 is OBD2, so you may have to keep it OBD2. That would mean an H22A with an OBD2 PCM (the 96 prelude PCM is what you would need).

Im not trying to get too crazy with the car. Its my daily driver but id like to get it in the low 200's as far as power

You haven't indicated whether you have a manual or an automatic; if you have the later then 200 is way too much power for the transmission.

I have an automatic. should i aim for switching to a manual transmission?

The manual is definitely beefier than the automatic and will make driving a boosted car a lot more fun.

Would i need anything special for the manual as far as electronics. I already know that besides the transmission id need the clutch,flywheel,all the linkages and a few other things. I guess what im asking is would it be for the mostpart be a bolt on sort of thing

It is probably far cheaper and far-far less aggravation to sell your car and buy an otherwise similar car with a manual transmission.

Wouldent it be easier if i swap the transmission along with a h22a?
