Windshield Wipers Not Working

Windshield Wipers Not Working
I have a Honda Accord 2005. It has a auto-transmission. One day I started my car and tried turning on the wipers. It was dead. It did not respond to any of the controls. The nozzle does spray. First thing I did was I checked the fuses and relays. All worked. I replace them with a spare one and still did not work. I also realized that it was making a click sound every time I attempted to turn them on. I removed the front piece over the wiper motor to make sure the cables were in and they were. Any ideas?

Get a spool of wire & some end-terminals. If you can find blade-terminals that connect to that plug, that'll be handy. Or alligator-clips.
Make 2 wires, one to connect the proper terminal to a solid metal ground somewhere nearby. The other one long enough to go from the battery (+) post over to that plug on the motor. If you're ambitious, you can put a switch in the (+) wire; otherwise you have to connect & disconnect it.

I tested the motor and it was dead. So, I pick up a new one and installed it and it worked. The only thing was that I installed the pattern wrong, the wiper was going down then up and stop at the middle. So I disassembled it, fixed the order then put it back together. When I tested it, it did the same thing as the first time with the old motor. No movement, and a click.

Don't know if this will make a difference in your situation; but, refer to step #17 in the following Honda TSB regarding tightening the the wiper motor center nut just enough to seat its lock washer.
In addition to making sure the 5P connector clicks into position.
