Winter tires

RE: Winter tires
Hi Maverick..
In answer to your question, the tires that are stock on 2006 Accords are 195/65/15 , so you must have a up graded rim on there already and if its a 16" you will have to buy 15 " rims to put on your 15" tires...

RE: Winter tires
Thanks for the reply.
I havent gotten the car yet, but Honda indicates that the stock tires are P205/60R16. Since I already have a set of brand new winter tires sized 195/55R15, I would get 15" inch rims to put them on, as you mentioned, and fit them on the new Accord. Will it cause any problems for the suspension, the accuracy of the speedometer, etc.?
Thanks.

Outside tread diameter is different. Your speedo will read 9% high. I don't know for sure, but brake clearance is probably OK. The smaller tires give you less ground clearance, which probably isn't good in the snow.
205/60-16 = 25.6" diameter
195/55-15 = 23.4"
Different models carry different tire sizes. My 2003 Accord has 205/65-15 tires, while the DX Accord came with 195/65-15. The V-6 of that same year had 16" tires.
