is it worth gettin inpection check on my accord
Mine is Accord 2008, with 50000 miles. I am thinking of getting an inspection check to see if there are any potential issues. my dealership is charging 100/150$ depending on the kind of inspection I choose.
So my question is: Is it worth spending that money.

Dealers around here frequently have some kind of inspection that's heavily discounted. Don't know if it's AS GOOD, or maybe it's just a big sales pitch. But unless you're really familiar with working on Accords, I'd say the inspection is worth it. Especially worth it if the inspection is discounted.

Probably for Shipo or myself it would be a waste because we do so much work ourselves and are familiar with the car's operation. For someone who has never had a wrench in their hands, it's a different story. Most people will fall somewhere between those extremes.

If we were talking about a car with over 100,000 mile on it and a user with zero knowledge of car maintenance, then it might be worth it, however, the OP's car is only five years old and only has 50,000 miles on the clock and is working well without any squawks. With that in mind, beyond brakes, alignment, tires, and maybe the accessory belt (all of which will often be inspected for cheap/free by any number of establishments), I'd be hard pressed to think of something the person doing the inspection could objectively say is about to fail or leak.

I would just get a referral to a good indy shop that knows hondas and have them do your next oil change and tell them what your concerns are and ask for any recommendations. they'll probably want to pull the wheels for a brake inspection/rotation as well if you haven't had either done recently.
