it's a cold air intake system. I have an AEM CAI for my wife's 02 4cyl accord and it gives it more acceleration and a lil more top end... NOT MUCH. it also gives it a nice aggressive sound in the higher rpm range. idk what you are wanting for your car but it's a good start. price wise. It's about $250-$300 K&N isn't an better either. good luck on the research.

with the K&N intake, you would have to make sure that it stays oiled up. Every once in a while you would have to take off your bumper, clean it, then re-oil it and let it sit overnight. I have attached the CAI that I have on my wife's 02 4 cyl accord. I have only taken the filter off once to clean it and I have had it for 2 years. I love the CAI that is on it. It's a dry filter so you don't have to oil it after you clean it. Although with every filter, you do have to let it dry before it can go back on the car. That's the AEM CAI that i would strongly recommend. That link is for the 3.0 V6. It is a lil more than the K&N though. It's the one that I am going to put on my 2006 V6 6spd
