So if you have bolt on cat-back, do you have to cut the pipe and weld the glasspack on?
So does it go between resonator and the muffler or does it directly replace the muffler?

I believe hes talking about in between the reso and the muffler. It'd be just like another reso...Im thinking of doing the same thing, except i have neither the reso or pre-muffler and its only loud and annoying on the inside..

it's going to be most effective upstream of the resonator. I don't have experiance with silencers, but if I were to get one, I'd go with the ATS by Apexi. http://www.nengun.com/apexi/active-tail-silencer

.... or you could sell the EVO mufflers and get SP2's

I've listened to them on YouTube before, and they sound about the same. Actually, the EVO2 sounded a bit quieter than the SP2.

I have an SP2, and love the sound.. On steady RPMs you barely even hear it, if at all; I mostly only hear it as I'm accellerating, and even still I have to gun it to really hear it. But tehn again, I've got an i4, not a v6 (waaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhH!!!!).

The design of the EVO2 and the SP2 dictate that the EVO2 is louder ..... and is confirmed by users. The flatter SP2 or WS2 muffler changes the airflow direction and turbulance more making it quieter. The EVO2 is essentially a large resonator with slightly offset piping. The EVO will give off a deeper tone. Lower tones carry longer and have more sound power.
