Yeah it’s a good CIA and who ever told you AEM is crap they are retarded. It's easy to install the only modifying is you will need to take a elc. hack saw and cut a hole in your engine bay so the intake and fit down into your fender well.

By The Way , What was your Engine in this car....

Not to be a d*ck but if your boy is telling you that AEM is crap but turns around and say injen is the fire then he MUST not have much experience with imports. The thing about AEM and injen they take countless hrs and money to make the best intake for w/e application in our case it would be accords. It's all about how the air flows in the pipe. Most high end intakes like AEM injen ect. have the science down so that when the air reaches your intake mani it's making a "tornado" effect to compress even more air to make a nice clean combustion...thus = more power and throttle response. Now I’m not saying one is better than the other I personally like injen intake I think they are sexy as hell...but I own a AEM on my cb7. Ppl are gonna have diff. opinions about parts and ect. but to But for someone to say AEM is crap it's like saying dodge is more reliable car then honda....it's a preference with a little bit of false info mixed in.

*edit*
P.S:
I'm not try to pick a fight just trying to correct some false/miss leaded info.

You dont need to take a hack saw and cut up your car for an intake. I have a 95 and i didnt have to cut anything for my CAI, but im not sure if its different for older accords. All you do is take out the old intake pipe, box and that "vaper" box thingy in the wheel well and then you just bolt on the new intake. I figure it would be the same process for the older accords.

I think a CAI is great. It makes the car sound mean when you punch it, it sounds cool when at normal driving. You can tell it def works on sucking good air when you shut the car off, You can hear that "woosh" sound from the suction. Though i can say you dont really feel a HP increase but you get a better mpg or two.

He said he has a cb7 (90-93 accord) so yes he does have to cut a hole for the CAI. The hole that is where the CAI goes isn’t big enough. As for the 94 and up year accords I don't know anything about them b/c they became 2 heavy and IMPO not worth moding. Building hondas is all about power to weight ratio if not your gonna get walked by lighter imports all day long.

yep, gotta enlarge the whole in a cb7, just did it to mine last week... i just used an angle grinder w/ a cutoff wheel to make a square hole, slightly smaller than needed and used a dremel to round out and smooth the edges... my kit came with some rubber edging to line the hole with as well. i just got a cheapo ebay kit (40 shipped) and put a real K&N filter on it.

Make sure and use a bypass valve if you can. I hate to see another cb be put down due to hydro lock. Since you have an expensive intake cut you pipe right after a bend (going toward the TB not away) and install a bypass valve so when it rains no worries of hydo locking. I lost a h22a4 engine b/c I was a tight @ss and didn’t buy a bypass valve for my CAI. You learn from your mistakes.

RE: g22cd5

What exactly is a bypass valve? I just got me a cold air intake (injen) and I had no idea I shoudl buy a bypass valve...is that something I should get before installing my CAI? And where can I get one if you recommend it? Thanks for the help....I'm a newb at this stuff.

CAI takes air from down low & can suck up water if you drive through a puddle. A bypass valve can open up when it sees that kind of suction, then it sucks air from the enigne compartment so the engine doesn't ingest a cylinder full of water.
