im not positive, but i think the AEM filter is a "dry type" filter. no oil necessary.

SOme of the older style AEM filters were oiled, and they sell a recharge kit for them on their site. I'm not sure if the K&N filters use a different oil, but they shouldn't be too different.

How recently did you buy the AEM. If it says "Dryflow" on the box, you should not use the K&N filter cleaning oil on it. You should buy the dryflow cleaning kit. I'm not sure if the filter itself says dryflow on it. I'll try to remember tocheck mine tonight.

it is a dry filter. i just want to know if i can use the k&n cleaner. also sence i put it on it seems like i might of lost some low torque. i thought it was going to give me a little and i know very little, as in not feeling it power. but i love the sound on hard throttle.

i suggest reading this, if this is the type of filter you have: http://aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=93

as for the feeling of loss in torque, either it's all in your head, or the filter you had before was better. filters do play a roll in air flow and performance.
