Most people seem to be pretty pleased with the OBX stainless header you find on eBay, the lowest I have seen them is $162 shipped. Thats the header I will be getting in the next month or two.

I dont know how you can say OBX is "faulty and cheap" when many members on here, including myself think the quality is excellent. Have you had the OBX headers? Im guessing not, so dont make false opinions without direct knowledge.

OBX is a great brand, and with there products you receive more quality than what you pay for. The only thing with the OBX headers is that the gaskets arent of best quality, but gaskets cost about $8 so its no biggie. The headers themselves are great. Thick flange and very nice welds. If I had to do it over again, I would buy them in a heartbeat.

I would HIGHLY recommend OBX headers. Let us know what you choose or if you have any questions.

It's "ceramic-coated" which basically means that it's a barrier between dissimilar metals to reduce friction, which cause heat, creating unwanted wear of internal engine components.

When ceramic thermal barrier coatings are applied to exhaust manifolds or headers, they provide two advantages. They protect the headers from rust and corrosion and also reduce heat loss, which translates into high power output. If the headers are internally coated, they will create a higher velocity of the hot exhaust gases and less turbulence due to a smoother surface.

And whoever said OBX are $hit needs to actually use the damned things before he can talk. Reminds me of all the people talking crap about the military. If you didn't experience being in the force, you cannot talk. But as 19Accord97 said, the gaskets aren't really top-notch. But it's the best bang for the buck.

Something else about ceramic coated headers, they will have a tendency to discolor slightly over time. Not a bad thing unless you are going for one of those show quality engines.

Were/are you military?

And I completely agree, how are you going to trash OBX headers when you dont have them, and the people who do have them have all said good things about them?

I'm going to my 2nd year in Army ROTC. My family has a long history in the US Army...I think all the way back to the end of WWII and beginning of Cold War.
