Default exhaust install

Alright guys, so I made up my mind on my next mod...the Apexi WS2 exhaust. But before I get it, I wanted to know some stuff about installing it. Iread the hardest part is getting the old exhaust off, but what do I need to know about putting the new one on? is it just bolts? Also, am I gonna need a lift for this? Im on a tight budget and I really dont want to pay a mechanic if I can do this just by myself and a couple other friends. Thanks in advance guys.

If you have a junkyard near you, you can get it done for cheap there. I got my entire catback system redone with aftermarket products all for $100.

If you still want to do it yourself, then yes, a lift is VERY helpful compared to a jack (lift gives you more room to work, especially since you'll need to chainsaw your old piping off). You'll also need to weld pipes together, weld flanges and hangars on, and also have a machine to bend the piping here and there. It is a lot of work and you're better off getting it done, but it's definitely possible.

As for a torch, the only time I saw the one who did my exhaust use it was to get the old O2 sensor off my factory catalytic converter.

yeah im gonna have to side with pyaa on this one. it is very capable for you to do, but to make sure its on correctly you should find somewhere to get it done. a junkyard will weld it for you, if not, try a local machine shop. thats what i did on my last car. i asked if they could make a simple weld for me, they said no problem and charged me $35 buck then i just bolted the rest of the catback on and called it an exhaust

It's just bolts. I did mine in my driveway in an hour.

You make it sound so easy. I'm assuming you welded the hangars yourself?

It does sound pretty hard. For the first time, most of the replies werent: Its easy, just read the instructions.
I didnt think it was tht hard either. Welding, hangars, i dont own any of those tools, except for my clothes hangar lol.

Didn't have to weld anything. Remove old exhaust, install new. 3 bolts to the cat, 2 for the mid section, 2 for the rear.
