So, I went out in search for new stronger/muscular sounding mufflers for my 2008 3.5L V6 Accord. I specifically wanted the Flowmaster 40 series. I was told it wouldn't fit because of the currently "off lower set" mufflers I have. Then someone else told me it's illegal to make the car louder and so on. I just want some sound and everywhere I went, they acted like they didn't have clue what I was talking about. Does anyone know if the Flomaster series will or won't work for an '08 Accord or can I go to the dealership and have them add good sounding mufflers?
I'm really frustrated.

 

I don't see why they can't make the flowmaster 40 series work. All they need to do is weld the muffler to the pipe. Maybe have to run a bend or extend the pipe a bit to make it work. I would find a exhaust shop who does nothing but exhaust work and talk to them. Also if CAN be illegal if you go with something that is way too loud like over 98-99dB but the flowmaster 40 series will not be that loud.
