Default I'm a Rookie, plz help .(Cold Air Intake + Dual Exhaust)

Hi guys, I just bought my first car which is a 02 V6.
I'm really excited since it's my first car.
I would love to start to burn some cash on my babe ! haha!

The first thing I found is the AEM V2 Cold air intake system. http://www.autoanything.com/air-inta...A2060A0A0.aspx
How do you guys think about it? Is there any suggestions that you could give it to me?

The 2nd thing I found is the Megnaflow Exhaust Cat-back system

This babe looks tide, but I don't know much about exhaust.
What you do guys think about it?

Please give me as much suggetions, I would really appreciate it. Since it's my first car, I don't really know much about this car. Let me know What else I can do with my car. (P.S I've lowerd my car with TEIN).

The V2 is supposed to be a great intake. The only problem is that they recommend you dont use a bypass valve with it. If you live in an area where it rains a lot, or where the street drainage sucks, you definitely want a bypass valve.

I cant tell you anything about that exhaust. What kind of exhaust tone do you want? Deep or whiny?

Your first mods should probably be intake/header/exhaust. You already lowered it, which is good, for additional handling you could add front and rear strut bars, and bigger diameter sway bars.

Got any pics?

ya u can go with that intake. or u can do wut my self and alot of other people have done. just buy like the 40 dollar intake off ebay and wen u get it go buy a K&N filter or a better filter and it works just as good. with the magnaflow exhaust i have never heard it on an accord b4 so i dunno what to tell you about that.

then you can also go with some headers. ppl usually go with the DC sports, OBX. i have dc sports on mine but most ppl like to go with the OBX. other upgrades u can do after that is like pulley kits, spark plug wires, turbo, nos u know the good stuff

I searched for the header last night just like blueaccrod told me to do, it's not that expensive.
But my friend told me is it quite a work to put it on. I've never done anything with my car.
Will it cost me a lot to put the header on?

It depends, I got mine put in for 50-75 bucks at Midas. I could have put mine in but my stupid mom wouldnt allow it, which was a total waste of money. You do have a v6 though so it may cost more.

ya i installed mine on my 4 cylinder. it took like 3 hours tho cuz we really didnt have the best jack to lift the car. im sure u could install them urself cuz it really is only bolt off the stock headers and bolt on the new ones. as long as u have the right tools and can get the car some what high off the ground ur set.

You were looking into an AEM V2 Intake for your 02 V6 Accord? Ihave the same car and recentlybought one and it is a great intake. The sound is deep (not ricey) and it is easy to install.A friend and I did the install in just over an hour and we are rookies and never did install any intakes before (especially Cold Air Intakes) and it was simple enough by just following the instructions that came with the intake. You can view more of the details such as performance, sound, etc. at the AEM website http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=30.

Secondly, you were interested in an exhaust? Iwent with the Apexi WS2 Cat-Back Exhaust. It is great sounding with not a lot of excessive noise. But if you want that loud noise, get something else.

With these two items installed on my car, you can hear the Exhaust loud and clear at low RPMs but when I floor it, at about 4000 RPMs the intake drowns out the sound of the exhaust and it is pretty loud. Some of my friends say the intake sounds deep like its a V8.

Cost:
AEM V2 Intake off of Ebay was $290 shipped
Apexi WS2 Exhaust was $520 + Shipping

Well... hope this helps you out and have fun.

i went with the ws2 and the aem sri.... the exhaust sounds pretty nice at low rpm but when i gas it the intake just over powers it... normally the intake would over power the exhaust anyday... only when you gas it.... but with headers and exhaust it would sound a little louder then the intake i believe... you could go to streetfire.net to see if they have a sound clip of the exhaust you want....
