I have been trying to get a induction kit for my baby -

Accord Coupe 2.0i Vtec ES - 1998/1999

I have seen a Green Cotton Power Flo Kit - but they advise that it will only fit engine no F20B6 and mine is a F20B5 - both engine specs are the same (2.0i Vtec - 147HP) but I think that one is the european version and the other is the American version so I think that it should be ok.

Can anyone confirm this - and is there a better kit I can get for my car ??

Neither one of those engines is USA-spec. Ours are F23A1, F23A4, & F23A5.

I don't know what differences would prevent the intake kit from working.

 

yeah those are both european accord engines. the block is the same but the head would be diiferent. i do believe the b5 head makes more power, maybe a special intake design or wilder cam?? not sure. id say find pictures of the other engine and see if theres a difference.

 

Thats nice that you are p[lanning for these new kits..but if you are not sure about it you should consult the dealor who will help you and will guide you in right way......
