Question about which exhaust?!?
I am new with car exhausts. I used to own a Chevy V8 with loud exhaust. I am trying to decide on which exhaust to get for my 2003 Honda Accord V6 Coupe. I want a really deep sound and loud at the same time, I dont want anything ricey and I dont want it to sound like a fart can. I have been looking at the Greddy Evo2, Magnaflow, and Borla. I am kind of leaning towards the Greddy because I have heard good things about it. But I want to make sure thats want I want, money isnt really an issue. Can someone please help me on what exhaust system would sound the best? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

RE: Question about which exhaust?!?
Welcome,
I just had my high flow cat and cat back exhaust fitted last week. I went with Magnaflow for both, based in part on recommendations from my tuner shop, feedback from this forum, tks and a nod to 6thgen and some internet research.
Here is what i have noticed thus far. i have 2000 3.0 v6 by the way.
In 4, i have auto trans, between 2000 and 3000 rpm, the exhuast note is low and very deep, very deep. not overly loud, very pleasant to my ears, and yes you can hear it above your radio, even with decent volume.
When the car opens up 3500 and above in this gear, the note chages to a higher pitch, again its subtle, this is not a crappy ,
braaaapppy, look at what i got type sounding sytem.
the real kicker for me though, perfomance gains. i like to drive in 2 and 3, when driving conditions allow me to get the cars revs up.
in 2, 4000 to all the way to redline at 6300, you can feel the extra power and the sound is awesome, this is good for speeds from
stand still to about 70-80 mph. i push.
in 3, same deal, you feel the extra power in the 80 to 110 mph range.
if your cruising in 4 and drop to three, tone kicks right up and power is there..
it has done nothing for my top speed, motor still cannot get me above 125, not yet.
ps looks pretty darn sharp as well!!
so these are my observations thus far, i have only had it a week.
im happy with mine is all i can tell you
good luck with your choice and let us know, A: what you went with and B what you get from it.

RE: Question about which exhaust?!?
just tonight on my way home got it up to 130, would havbe had more but had to shut it down due to coming up on the gap where the fuzz could hang out.
trick was keeping it in d3 all the way to 120 which was just over the redline at about 6500, push the lever into d4 and got 130

RE: Question about which exhaust?!?
Hard answer as to what to pick when it comes to exhaust systems for cars..
Sound and Looks are what all of us go buy when buying a exhaust system for our cars..
I look to other cars at the car shows to see what they look like installed and also as to how they sound when you ask the guys and the gals to start their engines to hear them..they are usually more that happy to have you hear there engines sound ..just ask them and you will see what I mean..
Good luck picking out your choice...
