single exhaust v6.. Input much appreciated
I am putting 2.5 inch piping with a Apexi n1 muffler on my 2002 accord v6 sedan within a couple weeks here.. I think I am just going to go with normal crushed bent tubing for now. Is there really going to be a noticeable difference in sound/ hp gains with mandrel bends? The 2.5 inch piping will give me gains and I wont lose any backpressure right?(I am going with single exhaust) I have an idea this should sound SICK..

differnece? yes. Noticeable? no. It's going to matter just because it will create more "turbulance" on the way out which means it's not flowing as smoothly. However, the difference between that and mandrel bent isn't going to be enough of a difference to notice.

my ex had a 03 coupe V6 with dual greddy evo2 exhaust and felt nothing but power.... only thing she didnt was get a Ram air intake rather then CAI ... i would stay with the duals just because it looks SICK and still sounds GREAT

If I had a V6, I'd probably get a single like you are and then take the V6 badge off the back. I don't know why, but I love the idea of a sleeper. It's nice to have more power than people think you do, rather than less.
As far as the 2.5in piping, I think it will be fine. Perhaps even just a little too large. If I remember right, 2.5in mandrel bent is good for up to 500hp and 3" is good up to 700hp. Don't know about crushed. Someone should probably double check me on all that.
I do think your exhaust velocity will be fine and you won't have enough backpressure for it to be any sort of a problem, since I believe stock is crush bent anyway.

Well I just put on my SRI. It sounds SICKKKKK. I def. didnt expect it to sound this good. I am getting my muffler next week and having a shop custom fabricate a 2.5 inch mandrel bent system. I will post sound clips if I think about it ha.
