i just recently bought a throttle body spacer for my 94 accord. after i get it in and i start the car the idling is off it starts a 2000rpms then drops to 500rpms then back up. i have all the lines hooked up the way the came off with the extened replacement hoses. does anyone know what to do to fix this?

 

hmm ive never messed with a tb spacer but it sounds like it could be your fast idle valve. its placed right under the throttle body and uses coolant from the motor to control idle when the engine goes from cold to warm.

 

you should take off the TB spacer as it does nothing. that would solve your problem

 

Did you re-seal the TB back on the car? You could have a major air/vacuum leak there if you didn't re-seal and re-gasket the intake pieces.

 

RTV Blue/Red Silicone is a great sealant for making all sorts of gaskets.

 

i used the gaskets it came with and used the new coolant lines too..
