Default 2004 honda accord lx 2.4 steering scream when cold, wheel shakes and

put in the wrong pwr str fluid, try to drain it out but, strg is still hard and screams till it gets warm. Looked under car and seems like inner cv joint is loose going into a box under the car. Is that the problem, how do you fix this. Steering was shaken before I put the wrong fluid in the pwr strg

Old fluid is now contaminated and more than likely has ruined the seals in your power steering unit. Call your local AutoZone/Advance and get your self a price on a new one +hoses and lines..

Noise is unlkely related to vibration (wheel imbalance or out-of-round).

Noise may be a leaking oring on the inlet (suction) side of the pump. Remove end fitting and replace oring. Leak allows air to be pulled into pump which creates lots of noise.

I would flush wrong fluid out and replace w/ Honda PS fluid and watch for any problems.

good luck
