Default 2012 Accord Coupe

I have a 2000 accord exv6 which I love. it has 210,000 miles so I thought I'd buy the new 2012 model. does anybody know roughly when the 2012's are coming out, or where I might get info on the 2012's?
Thanks

Default Hi New Member Korg

I would venture to say that if you trip on over to your local Honda Dealership that they will more than likely be selling you a 2012 while your there...although I believe that you might be able to buy a Brand New 2011 of your choice for about $6 to $8,000 less

Thanks for the link. that's what got me trying to find info on 2012. I walked in hoping to buy a 2011; they were going to order one, and then told me they could not, and I had to get a 2012 in my color.

I just bought a 2011 Accord EX-L. The three dealers I visited only had 2012 Civics and said no 2012 Accords would be arriving until Oct or later. 2011 Accords are in short supply, so don't expect big discounts.

the image you posted is for the 2012 EURO Accord which is pretty much our TSX here in the States. The 2012 Accord will be identical to the 2011 Accord and I know this because I work for a Honda Dealership. No official information has been leaked, but the only other new body change will be in the CR-V, and the 2012's will cost you MSRP or higher...introductory years rarely net you any discounts...nor will an '11 get you a $6-8000 discount...even at employee pricing, I wouldn't get that big of a discount. the different between invoice and MSRP is a lot smaller than you may think because we don't sell Chevy or Ford's that average a $6000 markup...Honda's and Toyotas have 6-9% profit margins. Lastly, I don't know which area you are from, but 2011 Accords, even now are averaging 500 - 1000 below MSRP at MOST and that's the market value for the California Bay Area.

As for your concern, the 2012's will be available later than most...Honda has reported to me that no earlier than mid-October, but most likely November because they are backlogged with 2011's due to the tsunami in Japan...so they have to complete everything that was already on hold before releasing the 2012's. Now, as for pricing, because the 11's and 12's are identical you are better off getting an 11 because they actually will offer discounts, as opposed to marking them up. If the 12's were going to be any different I would have waited, but I opted to get a 2011 V6 EX-L w/ Navigation. The link that the other guy posted is wrong...that's the European Accord aka the Acura TSX. Honda will not change the body style until at least 2013, possibly 2014 (keep in mind the last generation civic went from 2006-2011, the last Accord body style started in 2008)

I know you are seeking 2012 Accord info.. but so long as they haven't made any significant changes (I don't know whether Honda has or not), the figures won't be much different from the 2011 models.

Here is one website that details all 2011 models:
Honda Lineup : Accord Sedan, Coupe, Crosstour : LX, SE, EX, EX V6, EX-L, EX-L V6, LX-S, 2WD, 4WD, Premium : US Auto Choice

Hope this helps!

Thanks,
Tom
