Changed out the brake pads on all four wheels. They only had 31K miles on them and I know it was early but I prefer being proactive. Rotors were still smooth so I didn't do anything to them. During a short 20-minute drive afterward, I noticed that the car didn't coast downhill as quickly as it used to. Being curious, I checked the rotors/calipers by touch. The front seemed normal but the rear rotors were very hot. I bought a temperature gun to measure the readings and the rear rotors are about 30-40°F hotter than the fronts. I was pretty meticulous in reassembling everything and had NO parts left over! Everything seemed to go back together without having to force anything in. I'll probably have to go back and remove everything again to see if anything looks wrong. Any ideas? ×
