Fuel pump runs with key removed from ignition. 2000 Accord 4 cyl.
After parking I heard what I first thought could be my phone on vibrate, phone wasn't even in car but I could hear noise about every half minute it would kick on for just two or three seconds shut off and do that over several times. It stopped on it's own, well all I did was held my hand up on tank pump area when it kicked on and stopped doing it.
Anyone have suggestions orsomething to check.

Thanks for reply.
Just joined yesterday suprized to get a response so quick! Appreciate it!
when you refer to ignition switch you are talking the tumbler where key inserts? Is there any lube that could help? Graphite maybe?
I believe this is the first time it has happened. Changing ignition out would involve new key or programming or not? Can get spendy if it needs done, not?
Again, Thanks! I will be paying attention to see if it does it again. And let you know if it does act up again.

no, the switch contacts are driven by the lock mechanism, and are replaceable. Switch replacement Is easy job.
Testing is necessary to determine ignition switch contacts or main fuel relay.
Suggest starting w/ ignition switch test.
good luck
