Default Hello everyone, looking at the accord coupe

What's up everybody. I'm from New York, north of Albany, and I currently drive a 2000 Ford Ranger

I'm a member on a couple of ranger forums so I kind of know how these things work. I'm looking into getting a car, and thenew modelaccord coupes caught my eye. The truck has treated me well but part of me has always wanted a car. I'm hoping to see some of your guys' cars so I can see it's potential (i.e. body kits + rims, options for more power (turbo or supercharger?), better handling, and of course interior mods) Normally I would look through the snapshots section but I haven't found it yet Edit: I found the photo gallery :-). I'll be floating around, looks like a good site :-D

Yeah I started to realize that after I posted. Guess I'll just have to use my imagination [8D] I like the styling of the accord more than the civic, it just looks a little too eco-friendly I guess. The 06's and 07's look cool too, are there major differences from those to the 09's? I'll try not to get to technical in this area of the forum, I know some people tend to flame for that kind of stuff.

Well were not going to flame for honest questions.... if you came in with poor grammar and what not, maybe, but youll find that were all pretty friendly.

5th gen = 1994-1997
6th gen = 1998-2002 (stay away from the auto trannies)
7th gen = 2003-2007
8th gen = 2008-probably 2012

7G people are kinda less common than 5G/6G. Most of the attention is given to that platform due to its compatibility with the H22 block...whether it be H22a (JDM) or H22a4 (USDM). It's hard to move owners to the K-block due to the H-block's legendary street (cred?).

7G is less common because many people think its ugly. The H swap is only popular because its fairly cheap and easy to do, unlike K swaps. The K24 in the 7th/8th gen has sooo many tuning possibilities its crazy, but so expensive to do not many people take advantage of it.

Yep. I honestly think the 7.5G looks nice. I got shafted because I drive the sedan version with its ugly rear...but it makes for a better sleeper. Personally, I love the 7G front fascia...in styling I think it looks better than the 8G.

The 7th gen J30's have more aftermarket stuff coming out for it everyday! It is going to be awhile for the 8th gen to get parts to come out. Go with the 7th gen V6 6 SPD, you won't be let down...
