Hello,

I just bought a very clean 99 EX V-6 with 68K. It is silver with tan leather. Wow, what a nice car! I have never had a Honda before. I had an Integra though, but never a straight Honda.
I am very impressed with this vehicle. I have some questions however:

1. I checked the car's service records and they tell me that the EGR and the Ignition lockout recall have both been done on this vehicle. Are there any other recalls for the 99 V-6?
2. The car has the big double DIN CD player w/ wheel controls. It intermittedly is not reading CD's and giving error code P-E-0 - I tried a cleaning disk and blowing a little compressed air into the slot, but it still happens. Any thoughts?
3. The car has gold emblems, which I do not care for. How hard would it be to replace them with silver ones and how much would it cost if I did it myself?
4. Do they make a Haynes or Chilton manual for this year yet?

1 - Recalls go by VIN. If there's any more out there for 1999, that doesn't automatically apply to ALL 1999 cars. Call any dealer to look up YOUR car.

2 - I dunno...

3 - Parts places over to the side where it says New Vendors. Check Honda Parts Warehouse. Check hondaautomotiveparts.com & maybe there's others.

4 - The best one is from www.helminc.com unless you're just reading up so you can talk to your repair shop.

 

I own a 99 EX V6Accord also and yes they have the Haynes manual available. Just go to your nearest Advanced Discount Auto Parts store or AutoZone. They should have some available.
