Just singed up
Hey everyone,
I have a 2010 Accord Sedan EX-L 2.4l i-Vtech. Put a G-Force performance chip and a aFe Air Intake with a aFe throttle body spacer as well. I use nothing but Pennzoil Ultra motor oil and my performance is outstanding. My wife and I travel to Ga. to visit our families and my gas mileage is about 20-25% higher than it was when I bought the car brand new. I'm looking forward to gaining some knowledge and seeing what others have experienced and what works well and what doesn't.

Welcome to the forum! Have you played with tire pressure or different filling elements? Nitrogen vs Standard etc...
I would be curious if Nitrogen helps MPG's at all.. It sounds like you have done your research and have quite the set up.

Warped rotors at 50k miles
My 2010 Accord has a mild to moderate shimmy in the steering wheel at high speed braking and its obviously warped rotors. Has anyone else experienced this with as few as 50k miles on their vehicle? It will be more financially sound for me to go ahead and replace the rotors than to have them turned and I am going to do it my self with the NAPA, Ultra Premium rotors. They have a lifetime warranty and a "no turn" guarantee; not sure how they can ensure that but whatever. ADO or Adaptive One pads are going to be the pads of choice for me unless I get some really negative feedback. Also, I hear that early production 2010 Accord rear brake pads wear out fast; how can I tell if my Accord is an early production without pulling off the rear wheel and brake caliper to see if I have the V-clips on the rear pads, or is that the only way?

I apologize for not responding any sooner than I have now to your question. I lost my login info. I have missed this forum tremendously. I haven't messed with the pressured at all and I would like to stay with Nitrogen simply because it doesn't expand and contract with the temperature variations, but no one in my area except the dealership services tires with No2, and the charge a boat load to do it. I will say that I have recently found this product called Frikitiontek by XADO and it is AMAZING! It does everything it says it does on their website. I read and researched this product and just put it in my Accord and it delivers! I just ordered another tube for the transmission and a tube for the engine for my '98 Civic. If you consider purchasing it, go through Amazon, you save a ton of $$.

I'd go with turning the rotors.....compare cost of new ones to the cost of getting them turned, time it will take at the shop getting them turned.....Then decide?
Be sure to re-lube the caliper slide pins.....I'd check the rear pads as well.

I have always taken the car to the dealer to have the rotors turned. We purchased our first Accord in 1988 (LXi 5 speed). The shop foreman was an unusual type of person. He did not want you to waste money on unneeded repairs. He advised to only turn the front rotors on the car with a on-car brake lathe. He indicated that rotors turned off the car will eventually warp and warp badly. We currently own a 1997 Accord Ex with 167K. The rotors were in need of another turning. I purchased a set of rotors at Napa. I also replaced the front wheel bearings and ball joints at the same time. I also replaced the rubber bushing on the lower front control arm at the shock wishbone. The front end is as good as they day the car was new. Sorry I got off topic........
