Default Life long Honda Lover, Accord Noob - Alabama

What's up people? Just recently got my license back after like, 7 years. I've had 4 EF's and 1 DC... When I got my license back I decided I was going to try something different - as in something other than a Honda. I got an Accord not too long ago and after a few days of getting acquainted with her... I'm in love.

1997 Honda Accord Special Edition - 4dr/auto. She's a work in progress. I'll post pictures later, possibly start a conservative build thread. All my previous Hondas have been gutted, slammed, tucked, swapped, boosted, no p/s, a/c... you know the drill.

That was all before I had a kid. It's been a long road, but he's three now (he'll be four in June). His love for cars has been magnified, and this Accord came along with perfect timing. I've got an extra set of curious, yet eager hands on board. This will be fun. Back to the point.

I know civics like the back of my hand. If I had to compare my knowledge of Accords to my knowledge of Civics, I would embarrass myself. Which is why I'm here. I'm sure I'll learn alot and have a few laughs here. Judging by the Accord owners I know personally... You guys are a pretty down to earth bunch.

My name is Bobby. And I am now a proud Accord owner.

Bobby, welcome to HAF.....and to Accords

As with many things, the theory is the same...just might be in different places and may or may not have the same set up.

Thanks for joining.

There's a lot of similarities but they're not the same. Then again, they're a lot of differences between Accords too.

1997 Accord vs. 1997 Civic are kinda different.
1990 Accord vs. 2012 Accord are VERY different.

Thanks! Yea I'm noticing that a lot here lately

I notice accords everywhere. There was an accord in front of a house by my friends place and the tires were flat... It looked like it had been sitting there for a while. But it had some niiice polished OEM wheels on it. And I saw another on the road that has rear disk brakes. It was an ex I think? I have soo much to research. I'm going to pull apart tomorrow morning. Just to see what's out there.

Accords are great fun to own and drive. When it comes to comparing to Civics...same same but different.
