Default new car breakin

Just ordered the new Honda coupe today so I do not have an owners manual. The dealer is 150 miles down the road, so I'm wondering what the manual calls out for "breakin". The speed limit in AZ on rt.40 is 75, so nobody bothers you at 80/85,but that might be a little fast for a breakin. I do want to thank those that responded to my dealership question. The dealership I ended with would work from his invoice cost and I knew what that was. It is the V6 if that makes any diff. on the breakin period. Thx for your help.

Welcome! The new coupe looks nice, better than the sedans.
I think it was at least 500-1k miles before you can go WOT

That's not really so fast. Consider what the engine RPM is doing, probably not screaming fast.

One of the biggest things about break-in is NOT going constant speed. You'll want to drive like a fool, speeding up & slowing down so you avoid going 100 miles at one constant speed.

exactly... look up on yahoo maps and find country roads with a lot of stops or something to that effect for that 150 miles... 150 miles of stopping/going or just speeding yup slowing down will be very good on the break in... DEFINITELY dont take that rte 45 or 45 the whole way...
