First off and foremost I'd like say hi to everyone. Today my friends and I went over to redding, CA and checked out some cars. Prior than today I was a striaght Nismo-boy, but then my friend went to test drive a car so I got bored and hopped in an 02 Accord EX (coupe). Instantly I fell in love. my only problem is finding a fifth gen. Accord EX coupe, that's manual. Does anyone know where I can start? I've already tried autotrader.com and cars.com, I even checked her and didn't see a car that called to me.

If you are worried about 5th gen (94-97) aut trans reliability, dont be. Those things are built like tanks (yes even the v6 ones). It is not uncommon for those autos to go 300K and more.


I found my car quite by accident. I was looking in my local paper and saw it. Went out and talked to the guy he said trans is toast and I offered him $6K for it and at first be balked but once he got the repair estimate, he gladly offered it up for sale.

Car in question is a 1998 accord coupe Emerald green with tan interior. I rebuilt the trans and put 8K on it since then.
