Hello,

I am looking at buying a 2002 Accord EX Special Edition for my daughter. The car has 59,000 miles and looks to be in really good condition. Any typical issues that I should look for before writing the check?

um tell the person that they need to take 400 bucks off the asking price because it needs a timing belt. other than that there arnt any issues with that car. congrats on buying one of the most reliable cars you could possibly ever buy. you daughter can beat the **** out of that car every damn day and it will always start.

as far as general maintenance its probably going to need an oil change, and possibly brake pads soon, but all cars need those around 60k. just pull of the tires and look to see how much brake pad material is left. if you find it out before you buy it you may be able to convince the seller to reduce the price some more.
