Car just started doing this earlier when idle temp goes up but moving temp goes back to normal open the engine bay and fans weren’t moving hit them with hammer and started moving then fan on left (near power steering pulley and starter) stopped turning about a min after but right side fan (near battery and overflow) stayed on for a lil longer.
Min later turned heater on blast started to drop temp again to normal but neither fans were moving turn heater off and the temp went back up. Shall I replace just the fans or thermostat as well ?
