Now there's where my true problem lies, I dont know too much about the ECUs. I know about motors. Just not the computers haha!
I'm just an installer. So the whole chipped statement, over my head. Mind elaborating?

This one seems well enough. but, would the 97+ statement cause me problems?

BTW this is my first engine swap done by myself.

I wouldnt pay $3,500 for 20 more hp, assuming you pay what I paid for mine, thats $100 a hp........not worth it at all.

The type-s has upgraded cams, 11:1 compression instead of the 10.0:1 of the H22a1 or 10.6:1 of the H22a. and i believe the intake manifold may flow slightly better.

You could easily upgrade the cams to aftermarket ones and make more than 20hp more for like $600-1000.

Last time I was on that site there was a H22a long block for like $850, thats prob the best deal.

a chip is a, just as it says, chip that goes into a ECU and allows it to be reprogramed and such, i'm also not a big ecu guru, thats why I paid to have mine dyno tuned.

How the heck did you do all that for 500?

Do you have some serious hookups?

ummmm .....
turbo $125 (and manifold) dsm downpipe to cat..... cut off flange and welded it to existing exhaust using a sleeve coupler
intercooler and piping (bov included) $75
injectors $40
walboro 255 $55 (craigslist)
i slotted the dsm exhaust mani...(3 holes) to fit my honda, grind a lil off the front block (motor mount also removed)
honda exhaust gasket $6
i have an f22a with the 0-0-0-0 head.... that is the only way it was at all possible.... i own a dsm junkyard..... i actually did most of the install for free....... prices are what i typically sell parts for....

For $5000 you might get 300HP if you get some good deals and do a lot of the work yourself. 500 WHP is not going to be possible without a fully built motor and a massive turbo. For a 4 cylinder, I'd be looking at the GT3076R ..... if you don-t know what that is, then you have no business attempting this kind of build.
