RE: should i go ahead with turbo?
S2K, great car with lots of potential, but as other people have been brining up youve got to think about whats going to be good on gas and what you are going to be comfortable driving everyday. The supra/skyline route is not something that feasable on a budget, those cars cost more than 25K for just the car. Then you have to bring them up to stock operating condition, then you can finally think about some performance mods. In the end its your decision, youcould just go with a newer accord. 7th gen v6 6spd has 240hp 8th gen has 268, certainly within your budget and you might have some cash left over to add some bolt ons.

i say go 7th gen v6 6spd....get a j35a8 (tl-s) from the junkyard, rebuild that motor (forged internals, all the good mechanical stuff), tl-s or better clutch/tranny, then your bolt ons (intake/exhaust/fuel rail). headers are welded to the block....so you really cant do anything about that. (i think)
tl-S comes w/ 286 + bolt ons = pretty decent chance to keep up with your bro's G. if hes gonna turbo the G....S/C your J35a8.

RE: should i go ahead with turbo?
my brother basically has all the money in the world.
he has an exhaust sytem that costs 7k alone.
he is putting a s/c on the g and basically gonna turn it into a skyline.
i talked to him though and we are thinking of either completely rebuilding this whole car or just getting an s2000

Please explain how anyone can spend 7K on an exhaust system (of any kind)?????
I just put a complete system under one of my GN's. Full dual, 3" mandrel bent, polished stainless steal, polished stainless steal muffs, 3" polished stainless steal, mandrel bent turbodownpipe.
The entire system front to back, all 3" polished, mandrel bent stainless. $1200 complete. This for all American made custom built stuff, no chinese junk.
Even if I add in an additional $1000 for a set of polished stainless headers, custom made, we're still only at 2200
What was his system? Gold plated?
