Default T5 Turbo

Hi all. A guy gave me a nice deal on a T5 Turbo Charger from a Diesel car. My question is can I use this Turbo on my 1998 Honda Accord F23A VTEC? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I don;t see why not alot of ppl use diesel turbos on f series engines. Got to find a turbo manifold to fit that turbo to your head.

This forum only has a hand full of ppl who know there stuff. So sometimes it takes couple days but you should get your answers if you ask a question that a search engine can't answer for you. If it's something you can search for and get your answer then most of the time we won’t bother even posting in that thread…most ppl can take the 10mins it takes to search on google or any other forums for their answer.

nah your cool bro you are asking a question that it's hard to search for...its the ppl who ask "what CAI should I use" or "what type of exhaust should I get" that gets gets to me cus it takes no more than 10mins to search for something like that. Try PM livetorice I think he knows about turbo stuff he MIGHT beable tyo help you out.

you will need to get a manifold and try to adapt the turbo to that. but if you're going to build the whole thing from scratch, then try to find yourself a nice t3/t4 hybrid and go from there. you mind me asking how much they're asking you for the diesel turbine?

(i know my stuff, it's been a while i wasn't here cause work and college but im around now)

No I dont mind you asking at all. He said he would sell me the Turbo and a Manifold (That obviously wouldn't work on my car) for like $20. Im not 100% sure if this is a good deal but it sounds like one...

well if thats the turbo you want and it works good has no cracks or shaft play thats a great deal if you can source a manifold that will fit it. not sure what other mods will be needed. probably custom downpipe, clearances? oil lines, etc. like the idea of a diesel turbo myself. hope it works out for you if you decide to go that route. still i do agree with kevin on the t3/t4 turbo, these are more widely used and parts like manifolds available for them.

Well unfortunately the turbo is on hold because my MAP sensor is fudged up. At least I hope that is all it is. The car has no power at all. Can barely make it up a hill in 3rd lol. So we shall see how it all turns out.
