Default 09 accord LX vs EX engine

Does anyone else think that honda is using the same engine in the 09 accord LX and EX? The LX has 177hp @ 6500rpm and the EX has 190hp @ 7000rpm. The LX engine redlines at 6800 n the EX redlines at 7100. Both engines have the same displacement, compression ratio, and bore and stroke length. As far as I know they have the same intake and exhaust system as well. I'm thinking they just let the EX rev higher so they can charge you more money when the LX engine is exactly the same and will give as much power if you rev it to 7000rpm.

Higher flowing head. A lot of thing determine the redline and they don't just "turn up the juice" to make more money.

It's a difference between the K24Z2 (177hp) and K24Z3 (190hp). K24 = K-series block, 2.4L displacement; the Z2 and Z2 are the different cylinder heads.
