bike/kayak rack for my '06 EX?
Howdy,
One of the checklist items for me when I was searching for a new car was "does it support a rooftop rack for my stuff?"
4 months later, I'm still scratching my head over how to implement a solution. I've got a ton of Yakima gear (towers, bars, bike mounts, kayak mount) that I'd like to re-use. But, Yakima, for whatever reason, does not provide a landing pad solution (makes use of the roof top bolt mounts) for the Accord. I really don't want to use the tower mounts that rely on gripping the door frame.
Any ideas out there?

Steve,
I just bought the Yakima roof rack kit and am just getting into the install. Good thing REI has a satisfaction guaranteed policy 'cuz I'm not sure if this is what I think it is. Also, I am looking at the PIE adapter from Crutchfield for my Accord as well. It would interface with my IAudio mp3 player. The only hitch is knowing what the plug is on the back of the unit and the only way to find this out is to pull the whole thing out. Any ideas on how to find out what the plug is without pulling the dash apart?
I will let you know how the roof rack works out...

Wow - talk about bring a post back from the dead!
I ended up getting new Yakima mounts and used the rest of my old Yak set. Easy install for me.
On my 2006 Accord, the std radio had a plug that would be used for XM radio. That's where my PIE adapter plugged in. I had no use for XM. Can't speak to any newer models Accords.
