Default to buy or not to buy

my friend is offering me his 1993 eagle talon ES

it has a 4g63 swapped in but it is still only FWD

but because it is a ES the insurance will be alot less.

he wants $500 for it and it needs about $1500 worth of work(turbo, clutch, clutch slave a master, and some other things along those lines)

should i do this or swap a h22 into my accord

I am leaning toward the talon because we all know when you modify your car you lose reliability. and this way i could have a fast unreliable car and a slow reliable car.

what are your guys' thoughts?

If you got talon, you'd still keep your accord? If so, if you got the cash, sounds fun. hehe.

yeah i'd keep my accord as a daily driver

and have the talon for a track car(would still drive it on the street, just not everyday)

imo 93's are ugly.

If I were you I would offer him $350... If he says no, dont worry about it. You can wait and buy a RWD 240sx, rx-7, etc. and drift away[sm=wootwoot.gif][sm=wootwoot.gif][sm=wootwoot.gif]

97 240sx SE
or just swap the h22 into your accord
but then you would have wasted that AEM intake on your accord...

after taking a closer look at the talon the list of things wrong with it grew, so i'm going to pass on that.

the only problem with 240s is you have to swap the motor(not a fan of the KA)

The KA's are pretty strong.... I'm plannin on SR20det swap in the future. KA has 160hp, SR has 220hp so it's definately worth it. I can probably get the whole swap done for $2200-2600. I would like to go RB25det(skyline motor)swap, 250hpbut there limited aftermarket parts for it.

Oh, I forgot this is an accord forum...LOL...
