Car vs Deer
oh great....one of the kids (89 LXi Coupe) just called- "Hey dad, I hit a deer last night"..of course the redneck came out and I asked if he at least killed the deer so we might be able get jerky out of the deal....
Anyway, front right/pass side damage. Says it still drives and no rad leak, I'll find out more this afternoon when the car comes home for repair/inspection. Just how I planned on spending the afternoon...wish me luck. We'll see how stout those 3rd gen's really are.

OOOhhh, venison...
Anyway, I hope he's not injured. I mean the kid, not the deer.
When my daughter hit a deer last year, she was totally grossed-out when she saw a bit of fur stuck under the front edge of the hood...

The boy-Fine. The car-ok-maybe, more work needed, sent him on his way for now. The dang deer got away...of course it was at night-3rd gens have the "flip up" lights so the right side "bucket" is toast..pulled the shell and the trim to get it going..hit so hard the socket to the headlamp "popped" off. The hood is also toast, ac condensor is "bowed" in @ 1~2 inches, but the rad is fine...really time to retire the 87 now....it will become the "parts car" for the 89 now....just what I needed...but hey, they boy is ok....metal and that are easy to replace/fix...enough said.....Thanks.
