I'd love to have a creeper but I don't have a garage to use it in. Other than gift cards and household tools I'm drawing a blank. I'm not worried about my wife because we agreed that this year (since we're moving into a new house) we're getting presents for us not stuff for each other individually. Speaking of moving, on that rant, I'm guilty of buying my wife heavy furninture that we get to move. A full size L shaped sectional sofa with an innerspring queen size bed pull out.

What i would do, im serious, is for your wife/significant other, purchase a gift card to her favorite store on ebay, alot of times you can get a $200 gift card for $175, thats like a free pair of jeans for her lol, then i take the card and just buy her clothes and stuff at the store, and yes i do pick them out myself...

lol call me cheap

Hmmm.....I think my dad may like a flourescent light that hangs from the ceiling on a reel. Or some cheap speakers for the walls when hes working in the garage.
One thing about the light. Flourescants are much more delicate than incadescants ..... just something to consider if your dad is rough on things like I am. For speakers, you don't have any lying around from a mini stereo that the electronics crapped out? I have speakers, just nothing to run them.

In the garage I use some old computer speakers and attach my mp3 player to it for music in the garage. Works well.

OMG I know that is one heavy ****!
Things to think about for a new house (if you are buying and not renting):
Patio furniture (I still have none and I've been in my house for a year!)
Junk to put on the walls - Our master bedroom walls are still pretty bare. My wife keeps saying we will get some of those collage frames to put pics of the new baby in
Paint - Nobody likes the color of the walls that their home comes with (Unless they bought a new home and picked the colors themselves) Paint can get pretty darn expensive. If you are going to paint yourself like me, please do yourself a favor and buy a decent paint from Sherwin Williams. Stay away from Behr paint. I put 3 coats on my kitchen (I had a gift card from Home Depot - what a waste of a good gift card)and it still looked like crap. I had to go buy Sherwin Williams paint to cover up the Behr garbage. It took 2 more coats. 5 coats of paint = lesson learned

I know the above items are no fun, but could be necessary. I always have to save some $ at Chrismas time because our anniversary is January 21. Last year I bought her a Journey Diamond necklace from Kay Jewelers (They had a sale - I think I wound up spending about $350). Of course, I got a new set of golf clubs so I guess we broke even (but still broke the bank!)

The patio furniture is going to have to wait, I want some and we're going to buy some when my tax returns come in.
We've got various photos and mirrors for the walls (ross is great for that too...)
Paint, always buy good stuff, we used Valspar from Lowes, it's got a great ability to coat walls, a little goes a long way, we're actually building so it was VERY easy for us to paint the walls ourselves, we probably wrapped a couple hundred into paint for 3 rooms alone but it's worth it. Behr is crap.

I just realized I can't recall for certain what our aniversury date is, should be January 8 I think... I need to figure that out or I'm in deep poo....

Have fun moving that! Get some friends and buy em' pizza! We had to move one of those and two 50some inch plasma/projector tv. Oh, and did I mention there was a total of 6 kids? Talk about tons of heavy stuff, but of course Uhaul forgot to put the dolleys in the truck. Aw well. Good luck with the soon to be move!

Thanks for the tip! Yeah, his temper seems to break more things while hes fixing sometimes...talk about a joy to be around. Ill check into that. And as far as the speakers go, we have a mini Sony old stereo so I just plan on buying some cheap $25ish Dual wall mount speakers.

And if I had tons of money, I would buy him one of those checker board high qualty kits to paint your garage floor that is rough so its not slippery but really resistant to stains and acid. Thatd be cool.
