Is the Civic Si on Par with the 4cyl Accord?

I have to admit having trouble following all that you are comparing: 2006 vs. 2007 vs. 2008? Coupe vs. Sedan?
But using your numbers, 7.2 sec is still quicker than 7.4 sec 0-60mph. What is the debate? Which car "feels" quicker? Which car everyone "likes" most? Which car "drives" better?
I must have gotten lost along the way.

I'm confused too. This is what i'm getting out of it so far...if a 5speed coupe raced a civic si (sedan?) it would come down to driver????
edit: coupe = 7th gen accord

The comparisons are between the SI and the Accord 4 cyl.
At every trim level and door combination, the SI is faster and handles better. The Accord is more comfortable and has more room. Both are Honda's which means that both are great cars!!! They simply have different purposes.
Accord = comfort, luxury, room
SI = Sport Injected, spirited, sharp handling

Then he couldn't drive or shift. My best friend has an EP3 and we rip together all of the time. He has an Injen SRI that came with the car and a master bushing kit. I have almost every bolt-on made for my car. He gets about 2 car lengths to 60 and about 3.5 to 100. It's not like he's blowing me off of the road, but then again I have the V6, not the 4-banger.

RE: Is the Civic Si on Par with the 4cyl Accord?
Sorry if the discussion became confusing. I was originally soliciting peoples' opinions on how quick the Si Sedan felt. I drove the Si Sedan when I was deciding on which car to buy, but I was disappointed with its performance (mostly the torque) and I choose the Accord Coupe because it felt quieter, and just as fast as the Si. Since the 4cyl Coupe hasn't been 0-60 tested, I was curious how it would compare to the Si, that's all. I also didn't want to rev the hell out of my car to accelerate, since gas mileage was a concern too. I don't think we really will be able to compare those two cars in those terms like everyone said, its like apples to oranges and they'd never be featrued in a magazine comparo or anything like that.
As far as the new 190 hp Coupe goes, it's got more power, but it's also 250 lbs heavier than the current Coupe, so I don't know if that's gonna help it that much. Also, the torque stays the same at 161.
