Well The Target stores wont match there on line sales either so I guess that this is how the big companys decide to treat the people who keep their big companies running, I have seen that good old WalMart does tho..guess thats why I shop both on the Inter-net and in their stores...

RE: Crappy Xmas Present
It's a TV for the family. I'm just using a tv tuner card to watch TV on my laptop in my dorm. He went with the Samsung LNT4665.
TV came today and I didn't like it as much as the other one because the screen is reflective in the day. My dad likes it so I guess he's gona keep it. Get this DHL actually tried to deliver me 2 TV's (the replacement and the broken one I sent back). I printed the shipping info in BIG letters and posted on both sides of the box. Somehow they used the old shipping sticker on it. Got me a little scared so I went to check the tracking number that Fry's gave me for returning the broken TV and it does say that it's being shipped to Fry's in Ohio. I would seriously lmao if they deliver it to me again tomorrow. DHL service in my area is horrible. They rented a truck instead of the offical DHL truck to deliver the TV today and left it on my driveway for me to carry it in. At least I stopped them before the guy dragged the box from my driveway to my door this time.

Actually having worked for a few major retailers I can assure you it's not a hoax.
Legally they have to be separate entities for tax and funds reasons (which is why Enron failed) so they separate the online portion from their store portion.
And actually, the outpost.com and Fry's are two COMPLETELY different companies altogether, where outpost.com just has Fry's names stamped on it for boosting their image. THey have completely different stock that comes from different warehouses owned by different people... It's important to understand that and understand WHY they won't do anything for you.
Other companies like RadioShack, Best Buy, and Circuit City (which I've all worked for as a retail associate/technician/admin/developer) WILL actually match price from time to time, but do NOT match because it's their company, but rather they will generally set it up as a local store price match in their system.
Also, it's important to understand DHL is not a real shipping company. They hire independant contractors to deliver "goods" for them (often being FedEx and UPS); which is a good reason to stay away from them to begin with... These IC's are NOT responsible for deliveries like UPS/FEDEX holds their hired employees accountable for (ie, if a DHL driver drops your $250k server [has happened to me on multiple occassions], they wipe their hands and tell you to deal with the manufacturer, where if UPS did that you'd deal with them directly for reimbursement of the product). For simplicity sake, DHL just doesn't give a f#&k.
I highly advise that you start working on being an educated consumer; it's far too often I see complaints similar to yours without any education on what the truth is, and why you're having such problems. As far as I'm concerned, it's your own doing and you bring it upon yourself. A naive person jumping off a bridge is just as good as a brain-dead one.. You're both going to die. A bit gruesome yes, but the point is if you don't have a mind for yourself, expect to be screwed over, often.. And also.. I have the Golden Gate Bridge in the back of my truck I'm willing to sell. (joke for those that don't get it).

Well outpost.com has been frys.com for a while now. Does that still mean they're 2 different companies? As for shipping yes DHL has crappy service but Fry's said they did get insurance on the shipment since it's over $250.

RE: Crappy Xmas Present
You should have dragged the salesman to their computer department and ordered it to the store in front of him .... then thank him for being useless to you.
I went to Walmart looking for a 2-line cordless phone. There were 4 people standing around with their thumbs up their *****, so I ask if they have any 2-line cordless phones ..... they point and tell me that everything they have is over there. So I said, I looked over there and there are about 50 phones .... I don't have the time to read all of the feature descriptions so can someone show me the section they are in ..... they repeat, everything we have is over there .... I politely thanked them for being useless and promptly filed a complaint and had a manager observe the 4 bs'ing .... IDK what happened after that.
