damn brakes...
my front tire and rims always get dirty with this blackish brownish PooP
my dad told me its from the brakes, and my brother said all cars are like that, cause his acura TL has that stuff too
is there any way to prevent that stuff from getting on my tires and rims?
like something i can add to my brake pads, etc.

RE: damn brakes...
That stuff is called brake dust. Its pretty much dust that falls of the pads during braking. It ends up on the rims and looks really bad. The only thing i can think of that would reduce this problem would be to use ceramic pads, which are known to have less brake dusts. Your brother's TL might be using organic pads which create LOTS of brake dust. They are used because they don't make any noise and people who drive higher end cars hate any noises.

cheap pads will always make alot of brake dust. EBC pads are my fav and they produce almost no brake dust. get the green stuff or the red stuff if you like to get serious with the temperatures like me

RE: damn brakes...
Just be carefull with ceramic pads. Some of them have a fairly high operating temperature (I.E. Hawk HP Plus) and when you get into those race bread pads they don't start fully breaking until they are warm enough. Which means your stopping distance when you first start driving is not what you'd expect... I've driven a car with them before and sure enough they grab like an SOB once they are warm and work amazing at high temps but they're almost scary at lower temps...
