The Pissant is actually OK most of the time, even thought the BHP is the same as the Accord it is quicker, but not as reliable. Course that could be down to age (the performance).

The Accord is Barbossa- because we 'have reached an accord.'
The S2000 is Stiletto- it corners sharp as a knife and is sexy like the heels.
The Insight was Edison.
The Sport Trac is Toby. Mrs. GM3 is a Toby Keith fan and he was their spokesman when we bought the truck. She drives it so she named it.

I'm assuming that VW has the 1.8L turbo in it? My grandfather is a car guru, went from Honda to Volkswagen back to Honda. He said it was the most unreliable car he ever drove and traded it in because he got so sick of having it serviced all the time, wouldn't even work on it himself. It usually a different story on your side of the ocean though.

No the VW only has a 2.0 normally aspirated petrol engine 130bhp. My 2.0 Accord only had 129bhp, but TBH it did not feel like it.
The VW is as costly as the Honda for servicing, though I think parts are more expensive. The Accord I had was built in the UK
I wanted a change after three consecutive Hondas one being a Civic Coupe built in the old US of A
the other two Accords. Mrs QV has had a Civic and now an MX-5 (Miata). I think Japanese cars a far more reliable, though some of them consequenlty have little "soul".
My next car ideally would be an Alfa Romeo 156. Buy the right one and reliability should be OK, but the spirit in the drive is 100%.
My second choice is Subaru Legacy, however I feel I may well end up with an Accord, but I keep my cars between 3 and 5 years. I have only had the Pissant for 18 months.
