Default Driving in Phoenix

Well, I had really wondered why my insurance company doubled the cost of my insurance when my wife and I moved here to Phoenix. My driving record is immaculate, not even a speeding ticket. Today, while sitting at a red light, a car rear ended the car behind me and the car behind me tapped my rear bumper. No damage done to my car, but I hopped out and told the lady behind me that I was going to pull into a drugstore on that same corner. I made sure to express that it was up to her with what she wanted to do. Well, she made the mistake of following me. The car that had struck her took off. Hit and run style. This poor lady is a grandmother and she really wanted to cuss and scream but she said, "that's no way for a grandmother to talk." SO, if your in Phoenix, let it be known WHY the insurance rates are so high.
Don't say I didn't warn you.

I had that happen to me about 7 years back or so... I was driving my date home from "Winter Formal" and just cruising down this nice 4 lane highway with a turn lane in the center when this dill weed comes from the far left hand side road going the opposit direction, attempts to cut in front of me into a gas station, I swerve left and just catch his rear quarter panel behind his tire, he turns around in the gas station and takes off, my buddy who was following me took off after him, got his license plate number and then comes back. I turn it in to the police (the plate number etc) and they find out he lives about 2 hours away, they find his truck, no insurance and I couldn't "prove" he was driving so I lost a car and got nothing and he got a no insurance ticket.... (Couldn't afford full coverage at the time) No injuries just a hysterical girlfriend.... that relationship didn't last long *LOL*

My daughter lives in Phoenix also and she says that the drivers out there are even crazier that the ones here in the Cleveland, Ohio area...she drives alot around Phoenix, Glendale and other areas and sees accidents everywhere all day long..

What your daughter sees is the norm out here! I have driven in boston, cinci, NY city and a whole bunch of other cities and I haven't seen anything like this. I look for helicopters hovering over one spot and then avoid that area at all costs. The problem is that there are so many helicopters hovering around...

I probably look a little familiar, I like to have a peice of everything going on... Your uncle is a handsome fellow but I don't think I would tick him off if I were you.
About Boston, yes its fast, busy, and agressive but it is like a fine ballet plus line dancing, plus adrenaline. Just know when to lead, follow, dip, and twirl. Your wife made it out in one peice so I would say she knows how to drive very well.
