Default Fuel Mileage on my recent trip

Just yesterday I took a drive over to spokane (about 240 miles one way) and tried to employ the tips/tricks in the fuel mileage post. Now keeping in mind that I have to drive over 2 mountain passes on the way there I was SUPER thrilled when I pulled off 35 MPG!!! I couldn't fricken believe it! That stuff worked great for me.... I've been driving that way around town too and increased an average of 2-3 MPG from about 28 to 30 or 31 now...

I had plenty of time for the road trip so I managed to keep myself in check but otherwise I drive like an idiot...

same here... still get 27 mpg without reading 20 page manual on saving gas. + u pay alot for the car in the first place , so chances are if you
had enough for the car you would have enough for gas.

I get an average of 24mpg with a CL type S in 70% city driving. This pasy week it was ALL city driving and I still got 21mpg and the car is epa rated at 19 city. That car requires a LOT LESS throttle than my last car to feel comfortable driving at low rpm.

Biggest influence is how much of your right foot you use followed by operational condition of the car.
