he's probaly some redneck. I didnt hear anything about a v6 accord. Only the old school integras and hatchback civics. Sure its half true. Here's something. If u look on google there's a page that compares an s2000 to a mustang gt and the performance in the s2000 outmatched the gt. In terms of braking distance etc and its ONLY a 4cyl vs a v8. The mustang was only faster by a milisecond.
But whatever though. I find it funny how the competitors these days r the accord, camry and altima. Also I didnt read anything about tl's or rl's. The author wrote about the cheapest Honda/acura cars that arent even made anymore

lol
honda accords outsell any american comparable car by a significant margin.
It took Ford using a Japanese company (Yamaha) to get a 235HP 3.0L V6 and the engine is high maint compared to honda's 3.0L V6
Acura's TL / CL type S can take many v8 cars simply because the HP to weight ratio is in their favor not to mention lofty redlines compared to most engines that barely make it past 6K and some that can't make it past 5.5K
he also failed to mention that honda has a 2.0L that makes 120Hp/L
he also failed to mention that the dodge engine is a mitsu
he also failed to mention that the GM quad 4 had no less than 8 revisions and is still considered a 50K throwaway motor.
obviously he has not ever driven an acura where you get things like
FLAT as kansas torque curve from their V6s
precise steering with no wandering
engines that don't sound like a vaccum cleaner sucking air through a straw
qaulity interior
I visited my dad this last month and I let him drive my car...........all he could say is "it really wants to go" and he didn't even give it enough gas to get it past 3K on the tach.......he also stated that it was the best steering car he ever drove..........
I took him out later and I started from a dead stop and showed him how fast 70 came up (it was a light for the start of a FWY 2 shifts and 5.7 seconds later we hit 60 and a few sconds after that
I personally believe that if it wasn't for stiff competition from the Japanese, American cars would still be the same late 70's crap boxes in terms of quality.

I actually just saw a story about a british car company that is making/made a formula 1 street legal car, they basically built a new chassis, and took out roof, creture comforts, and driver's aids. The engine is a 2.0L Civic Inline 4. That car, can out accelerate Ferrari. Power to Weight ratio is through the roof. I just thought I'd build on the guy before last's post and go into how power to weight ratio makes as much of a difference engine size
