getting to you in USA

RE: getting to you in USA
Good question. I believe so. It's kind of a loop hole. I'm not sure if they fixed that yet. Haven't really kept up on gun laws the past few years. I know in calif. they were talking about putting some crazy tax on ammunition and we are only allowed to buy 10 clip magazines for pistols. I remember trying to buy some 15 round clips online and it specifically said on the site they can't ship to calif and other states.
If someone wants to buy a gun here legally, it's really not too hard. Just have to wait a long time and can't always get whats legal in other states. Unlike most states, ccw is near impossible to get too, although in some of the more rural counties it's a bit easier, but I don't happen to live in one.
In the philippines only certain people are allowed to own guns like politicians, police officers, militiary people, and rich people. I remember the last time I was in the philippines my uncle had to hide his guns at my grandmas house.

Your uncle was ghetto fabulous! In Memphis, all the gang members pride themselves on having guns stashed at relatives homes. They do what they do, then clean up and put the gun back in a "legal to own a gun" household.
The System forces criminals to stretch the loopholes-it also forces otherwise law abiding members of the community to aid criminal members of their own families, lest the family members get "caught up" in The System.
A Vicious Cycle perpetrated by our infallible, inept Government.[>:]

No, that's "brandishing" a weapon.
Guns, in all their forms, are legal to OWN in the U.S.(by certain citizens of the U.S.), not legal to USE, except for a very limited set of circumstances.
Avoid firearms if they are not already in your life.
Seriously.

It is a proven fact that there is less crime in areas where law abiding citizens can carry guns more easily. The criminals fear anyone they try to rob may be "packing." So no, you do not need to feel uncomfortable about our gun laws. Criminals will get guns no matter how illegal they are. that's why they are called criminals.
I love Mississippi's lax gun laws. You only have to wait around 10 days to buy a handgun. Then you go to the gun store and pick it up, and register it in your name. There are no waiting periods for shotguns and rifles. You can go into a gun store and buy one.
To get a concealed carry license, all it takes is for them to run a background check on you and you pay $100 for a one year license.
I own a Springfield Armory 1911 .45 ACP (basically a hand cannon) and a little Ruger 22/45 .22 long rifle handgun. It has a thick bull barrel and it is a real "nail driver."
I also have a Remington 870 12 gauge pump action shotgun that I got when I was about 14 or 15.
I love guns. If I didn't have a new baby, I'd get more. Now that the baby is growing I'm going to have to lock the gun up every day and only unlock it at night time before bed. I keep it in my nightstand in case I have to bust a cap into an intruder's face - I would never shoot a burglar in the leg. With America's crazy lawsuits, he coulp probably sue me if I injured him. He can't sue me if he is dead.

lol, semi-true there 00accord...
i'm not pro nor anti gun rights... i feel that guns help violence, but help avoid violence as well for reasons that 00accord stated...
without guns, i know that violence and crime will not vanquish or diminish any at all...
as the saying goes.. "guns don't kill people.. people kill people..." always have, always will..
if there weren't guns, they'd use knives, or revert to stone age and use sticks or bats.. maybe some might feel adventurous and use a bow and arrow?
the lawsuit line is funny...
my dad who has been anti-gun (he's very conservative) has recently bought 3 pistols and enjoys shooting.. it's funny, because now he's on the other extreme thinking everyone should carry a gun.
also, the laws vary from state to state, so there's inconsistencies everywhere.

Very true on the laws varying from state to state. I forgot to mention: in Mississippi you can keep a handgun concealed in your vehicle (without a concealed Carry license) anywhere in the state other than national parks (AKA The Natchez Trace - I think that is the only place you can't have a gun in your car.) I don't keep a gun in my car though. Too easy for someone to steal it if they broke into my car.
So keep that in mind if you areever driving throughMississippi and someone makes you mad and you flip them off. I did it once, and I wound up running from some guy in a Mercedes that decided to chase me after I flipped him off cause he was tailgating me. I was in the Mustang though so I burned him at first. Then we got to a stop light, he pulled up behind me and stopped, and I was getting readyto have to get out of my car and whip his @ss if hegot out of his. Or I was getting ready to get shot at. But he justsat there. Then he turned the other way and I never saw him again. It was stillfrickin scary though.
