GM money-back guarantee

GM money-back guarantee
Anybody know the exact details of GM's so-called "money back" guarantee?
For example, if I buy a new Z06 and return it at day 50, how much do I really end up spending for that 50-day test drive?

Hello
Tony my man..I think no one is better to answer that question than a GM dealer, because only they make the rules about there deals..not any of us would really know the answer to that ...unless of course we have a GM dealer
lurking around in here with us...

I actually found the site that explains the whole deal yesterday. You CAN get a Z06 and return it... if you meet all the other requirements...
BUY it up front, no leasing
Return between 30 and 60 days with less than 4,000 more miles than when you bought it.
Have LESS than $200 in damage. (If there is more, you own the car for good.)
And a whole buch more...

That is one scary looking document, isn't it?
$200 worth of "damage" and they're not taking the car back. And THEY decide what damage is worth $200, or more. I wonder, on a $70,000 Z06, exactly what constitutes $200 of damage - one small pit in the paint around one of the wheel wells? And exactly where does wear and tear fit into GM's agreement? For example, what if the tread on the rear tires on that Z06 is a bit worn?
And if you are brave enough to return that Z06 for your money-back, you can bet your sweet bippy that "your" vehicle is going to get an inspection that would make the space shuttle envious.
Take a look at the "arbitration" section of the "agreement". If that thing doesn't make your ***** shrivel into raisins, you're a tougher man than I.
And another thing. Is all the "fine print" visible on that link? I doubt it, so make sure you bring your lawyer and your microscope with you when you go into the GM showroom.
It will be interesting to see how this whole marketing plan pans out. What I will like to know is exactly how many buyers get their cash back on "their" GM cars, but GM will probably guard this information with more zeal than actresses do their cup size.
This whole thing reminds me of the old "Dirty Harry" movies. When Harry points his big gun at some bad guy on the ground, who is reaching for his own gun, as the guy starts to reach for it, Harry tells the guy that he's got the most powerful gun on the planet that "could blow your head clean off". "But", Harry then says, "I don't know how many shots I've fired. The question that you have to ask yourself is: Do I feel lucky?".
Well, thats the way one should feel about this GM offer. If you want to go to a GM dealer and buy a car with the intention of returning it "after 30 days, but before 60 days", you'd be wise to ask yourself that same question. If you don't, you could get much more of "a ride" than you ever bargained for. You could get your bank account "blown clean off".
