What year is your Accord?
I've done 130 in my 03' and it wasn't downhill.
Wasn't uphill either, but hey.

I had a friend of mine tell me it was 130 on the Accords, and like 110 on the Civic.
Both have turned out to be wrong (did 120 in the Civic)
Shows how much he knows.

Ahh... governors.... so on a roadtrip to Colorado with my friends I had my old 1994 civic dx, they had a 2002 Ford Focus and a 1997 Honda Accord 4 door (dx, lx, ex?? no idea) During that trip we hauled hiney on some long straight streches.... the focus has a short ram intake, and mod chip for engine changes, the civic and accord were stock... at about 120 my civic held there, the accord got to like 125-130 and pulled away slowly, the mod chip on the focus took away his governor and he just kept going.... but from all the research I've done the easiest way to get rid of a governor is to just get a mod chip (around $250.00...) but be aware that if you aren't already running the expensive higher octane fuels you'll probably have to switch to it...

Most mod chip companies that are worth a damn will ask what aftermarket stuff you have on your car and program the chip to match your equipment plus they should do free re-programing for when you add new stuff

here's one that's supposed to be good... I'm waiting for an e-mail from my friend to see what company he went through for his... I don't know if this company will re-program for you or not though... scroll down to custom chips..
