the ariel atom is awesome. I love em, if only i had $70k.

 

I think there were about 30 made with a K20 motor also. Most have the Chevy Cobolt's engine.

 

all the euro ones used the K20 motor, and the US versions had a GM ecotec for a long time, but recently they started using the honda K20 for both.

 

Are you sure? The atom site above only mentions the Ecotec global platform engine.

me and my girl are getting one .....she is graduating with a bs in criminology in a couple of months and i will be graduating with a bs in engineering in hopefully in bout 2 or 3 years.
yeah the earlier models have a k20 turbo ..... us models come with a cobalt ss motor for more fuel economy according to a segment jay leno did on it but i hope it has a k20 on it soon
p.s. i thought they were about 50k to 60k to buy one, plus u have a 8-12 month wait list on it.

put any motor on a platform that weighs 1000lbs, hell a d15 would make it fast. i would much rather have a car that doesnt look like a go cart.

for 70k give me a NSX any day

 

For price vs. performance I think it's about the best deal on the market that I'm aware of...

 

but its not practical at all, cant drive it in the rain, get in a crash with it and your screwed

best price vs performance goes to the Lotus Elise/Exige IMO
