Default HELP!!!

Im just a little confused right now. I have an f22a6 motor in my car, sohc no vtec.
so what is: f20b, f22b.
I know what the numbers are( displacement)(obviously) but what the hell do all the letters mean?

A6 is a USDM notation for a model of the A-type head. JDM doesn't use the last number.

JDM: H22A ..... H= engine series, 22= 2.2L, A = head type
USDM: F23A4 ..... F= engine series, 23 = 2.3L, A4 = ULEV head (A1 is the same engine w/o ULEV certification, makes 2 HP more and 2 ft.lbs. more torque)
