Default inconsiderate people at the gym

So at the gym today someone left 4 45lbs plates on each side of the leg press. Some girl was going to use the leg press and had to take off 3 on each side. I felt bad for her b/c she was struggling so much, but didn't offer help b/c of equal rights and all and didn't want to offend her. I notice this happens somewhat frequently. Why can't people just take the weights off when they are done using it? Sheesh. If people are there to work out, then taking off the weights when they are finished will help supplement their work out. Anybody else notice this at their gym?

Back when I worked out a lot (I need to get my fat @$$ back to it!) I used to notice that at the gym I went to in my home town. The women had their own weight room though and usually stayed out of the free weight area where the leg press was. Usually there were at least 645lb plates on it. But if I ever saw a woman eyeing it, i always asked her if she wanted me to remove the weights.
The gym I went to a year or so ago near my apartment had rules. You HAD to strip the weights off any of the equipment you used. i never disobeyed this because I always strip my weights. It's common courtesy, It tells everyone else you are donewith that machine/bench/barbell, plus it gives you a better workout having to move all the weight around.
If I ever see a woman trying to remove 45lb plates from anything, I always ask if she wants help. Screw equal rights. The vast majority of women would appreciate it.

Oh that is terrible.I remember when I used to use the steam room(steam rooms are WAYY better than saunas!)at the gym in my home town. I was like 16 or 17 years old. Guys my age always wore swimming trunks in there. Then old fat guys would come in there wearing nothing but a towel, then they would strip the towel off before they sat down. Oh yeah...I forgot to mention the room was no bigger than 6ft by 4ft. Not really big enough to fit more than 2 people(3 people if you squeezed in.)I would always get up and leave in a hurry.
Thanks for bringing that traumatic experience back to my mind falkore....

Yeah, there are all these signs that say to take your weights off when you are finished! I guess its like a stop sign, not everyone obeys. Maybe if the girl was hot I would have helped her lol

I hate it when there are a bunch of naked guys walking around with their towel over their shoulder. Or those group of guys all naked talking about whatever. Freaking gross.

We don't judge here at haf...it's ok if you do enjoy it. That just reinforces why I wait till I get home to take a shower
