OCS update, three weeks in.....Well, he is on "liberty evaluation" today.....which means he was able to call home and talk with Mom...so yes, I'm in the dog house for the rest of day, what is new ....from the OCS website....he is in the pic (fourth back), mom was happy to see him (even if it is just a pic) as well....there were a few other pic's on the site we "thought might be him" but when they have their faces painted...it is kind of hard to tell.

Congratulations to your son and you also. It's a good feeling when they make a major milestone on their own.

Regards

Bit of an update, maybe I should move this somewhere else? Let me know folks.

The boy went for his flight medical today, had to leave at 0200. He just called a few minutes ago. ALL went well and the flight doctors told him that it looked good!

Dang, I think the boy might make it! A few more months of paperwork and he gets his degree and the Marines should have a fine new officer-IMO....of course I'm the parent.

EDIT: now back to work......

Thanks Ang.

Again he wants to fly, so the flight medical part was/is the one thing he really can't control and has had him (and me) worried the most. Had terrible ear infections as a small child - tubes in his ears and all of that. So his hearing, ear drums and that have been the worry but it "sounds" like he is in the clear.

He can control grades = STUDY. He can stay in shape = Workouts and running - in fact he is at the recruiters office this morning for an event.
